BAYB hosting the MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition

Do not forget: BAYB will host the MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run Competition on 15 May (11am - 2pm)at the Indian Springs Ballfields. Boys 7-14 may compete. Best of all it is FREE!

Batter Up! Boys  ages 7-14 are invited to showcase their baseball skills in Major League Baseball’s annual “Pitch, Hit & Run” event Saturday, May 15th.   This FREE event is offered by BAYB in conjunction with Major League Baseball. No pre-registration is required for this event. Ages for children are determined as of July 17.

Individuals compete. Gate opens at 11am and closes at 2 pm, you may come anytime between then but do not wait until the last minute. All participants must sign up at the tent outside of Field 4 prior to entering the park.

The MLB Pitch, Hit & Run is designed to encourage youth participation in baseball by allowing youngsters to showcase their pitching, hitting and running abilities. Participants will be required to throw pitches at a designated “strike zone” target, hit from a stationary tee for accuracy and distance, and run from second base to home plate for time. 

Boys  will compete together in four age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. All participants competing at the local level will have a chance to advance to the regional competition and then on to the national competition. National finalists receive an all expenses paid trip to the 2010 All-Star Game courtesy of Major League Baseball.
